Mark Norman

Mark NormanMark Norman styles himself as a part-time, amateur historian who spends his working days in the "murky depths of insurance claims" In 1981 he joined a prominent East Coast loss adjusting firm and has waded waist deep through the quagmire left by the various tropical storms that have chosen to make Natal their destination. In  1985 he joined a Johannesburg based Loss Adjusting firm. Later transferred to their Pretoria branch were he gained his pilot's license and where In 1989 MARK NORMAN started his own loss adjusting practice.

Six  years later circumstances  dictated the business relocate to KwaZulu-Natal. Pinetown  was selected, being an area of growth, as well as having easy access to Durban and surrounding areas. Mark Norman has an ongoing, ever deepening  interest in herbs, indigenous plants and organic food production, matters maritime, aviation, the History of Natal, South Africans at war and life in general. He has penned a  series on various classic airliners and some famous English designers as well as a potted history of the Royal Navy aircraft carriers. History Buffs welcomes him aboard ship and looks forward to his regular contributions!
